After growing up in the northeastern part of the country, I’d had enough of the long winters; I was never a fan of sub zero uneven temperatures or feet of snow, however looking to get away from the wet & cold, I moved to Dallas, Texas, after my university graduation, but at the time, I was still paying off student loans; The transport was luxurious.
Although I was fortunate to secure a job in my field, it was an entry level position. I had hopes of a promotion & a raise. I was unwilling to throw money away on daily rent. Instead, I bought a house, however with my limited funds, the household was a bit rundown. I was particularly careful with my budget & saved up to make house improvements. I was just starting to make progress when a storm hit the area. The high winds wreaked havoc with my roof. Along with tearing shingles off, the storm brought down large branches. The torrential downpours caused major water damage to the ceilings, walls & floors. There was no way I could afford all of the necessary repairs. I needed to get out from under the responsibility of that house. I couldn’t sell it by conventional means because the household wouldn’t pass a house inspection; My only opening was to contact a cash house buyer. I expected to get a particularly low offer. I was pleasantly surprised that I received an offer that was fair & comparable with other sales in the town. The best part was the speed & ease of the process. I was under a good deal of stress because of the declining condition of the household & mounting expenses. Because of the cash buyer, I was able to close on the sale in under ten days.
