After growing up in the northeastern part of the country, I’d had enough of the long winters; I was never a fan of sub zero hot and cold temperatures or feet of snow, and looking to get away from the wet and cold, I moved to Dallas, Texas, after my school graduation; At the time, I was still paying off student loans, then the transfer was costly.
Although I was fortunate to secure a job in my field, it was an entry level position.
I had hopes of a promotion and a raise. I was unwilling to throw money away on yearly rent. Instead, I bought a house, and with my limited funds, the home was a bit rundown. I was particularly careful with my budget and saved up to make condo improvements. I was just starting to make progress when a storm hit the area. The high winds wreaked havoc with my roof. Along with breaking shingles off, the storm brought down giant branches. The torrential downpours caused major water disfigurement to the ceilings, walls and floors. There was no way I could afford all of the necessary repairs. I needed to get out from under the responsibility of that house. I couldn’t sell it by conventional means because the home wouldn’t pass a condo inspection, but my only option was to contact a money condo buyer. I expected to get a particularly low offer. I was pleasantly surprised that I earned an offer that was even-handed and comparable with other sales in the neighborhood. The best part was the speed and ease of the process. I was under a good deal of stress because of the declining condition of the condo and mounting expenses, however because of the money buyer, I was able to close on the sale in under ten mornings.
