They aren’t asking me to do anything
My grandfather has passed away and all that is left is a property in Jacksonville, Florida. Out of all the family members I was the one that got his Jax real estate. I am not too happy about it since I don’t even live in Florida. I made a trip down to see what kind of shape it was in. Originally I thought I could list it with a real estate agent, sell it for top dollar due to the area, and call it a day. Well the Jax real estate property is in shambles. There is a ton of stuff in there. Apparently my grandfather was a big hoarder. Rugs on top of rugs, multiple chairs, piles of newspapers, and old tins of medicine are everywhere. The house is nearly condemned too. The floor is coming up and the ceiling is coming down. The bathrooms are outdated and the kitchen looks rough. I would need to invest heavily into making the place liveable. I would need cleaners, repairmen, and then would contact a real estate agent. Then there is staging and dealing with potential buyers. All of that gave me a headache. When I don’t even live in the Florida area, owning Jacksonville real estate seems dumb. I looked into the option of selling my Jax home fast for cash. The Florida northeast real estate buyers I am working with are great. They aren’t asking me to do anything. I don’t need to clean, sell, or even step foot in the house. We are hashing a price and then I say goodbye to that Florida property forever. Selling a home fast for cash is so much easier and simpler than listing.
